SteriShape™ die-cuts are intended to be used for applying reusable drapes to the patient’s skin in order to create a sterile and hygienic operating environment.

Product description

SteriShape™ die_cuts are pre_cut OR_tapes especially designed for covering systems for specialized surgery (e.g. eye or cardiac surgery). These die_cuts are made using Eurotape's proven OR_tapes, providing a safe and secure way of sealing the operating area. The adhesives are pressure and temperature sensitive and completely soluble on the textile side during the washing process. On the patient side it has a disinfectant_resistant adhesive coating which is not soluble but does not leave any residual on the drape.

Standing still is costly.
“We process about 15 tonnes of laundry from various operating rooms on a daily basis. That laundry contains at least 1.5 kilometres of tape, so the adhesive material of the tape has to be removed easily for laundering. After all, standing still is costly, not to mention the backlog it causes. We chose the type of tape very carefully, based on criteria such as quality, OR suitability, adhesive solubility, price, supplier know-how and service. In the end, we chose Eurotape as they were the only ones who scored top marks on all our criteria. Sure, we also use the latex-free inserts, elastic strips and other items in their product range. In turn, we are able to offer a complete service package to our clients."
